They help keep plankton populations under control, ensuring that enough sunlight penetrates the ocean, encouraging the growth of algae and other marine life.

In addition to distributing nutrients throughout the ecosystem, they are especially vulnerable to overexploitation; in a 100-day period, 480 incidental catches were recorded.

Models

Guardians of the Ocean:

To raise environmental awareness among children and adolescents in public elementary and high schools. To prioritize the problem of plastic pollution in the ocean and highlight actions we can take to protect it, thereby creating community strategies and projects to reduce plastic pollution.

Fins school:

The Fin School aims to raise environmental awareness among preschool children, stimulating their curiosity and interest in ocean conservation. Through knowledge and appreciation of marine species, it fosters a love for nature and the development of responsible habits toward marine ecosystems.
